Cast and Member Awards

Ash Smith was the 2020 winner of the Tommy Thomas Award. He was chosen by Musical Director Ana Sanderson for his contribution to the musical quality of ‘Merrily We Roll Along’.

Ana said: “‘Ash was a terrific cast member and made an invaluable contribution to the FP production of Merrily We Roll Along. His strong work ethic at rehearsals, diligence and thoughtful attention to detail, great team work, charming smile and brilliant sense of humour made him a joy to have in the rehearsal hall and an absolute delight to work with. Thank you, Ash, for Merrily Rolling Along with us all the way to the Robinson Theatre. You are a truly worthy winner for The Tommy Thomas Award.”

The Tom Farrell Award. Voted for by the committee and any member of the society is eligible, given to someone whose positivity, spirit and good nature has contributed to the society during the year. The 2020 recipient is David Mallabone.  For going above and beyond throughout the Merrily process, remaining enthusiastic, encouraging and in good spirits at all times, much to the enjoyment of all involved.
